Annalye is a vampire and the mahmen of Bitty in the Black Dagger Brotherhood series by JR Ward.
Biography[]
In her younger years, Annalye years went to college in South Carolina where she studied education and became a teacher. Later, she was forced to retire once she mated her abusive hellren. They had a daughter, Bitty,[2] and had her home-schooled.
It was Annalye's situation that prompted Marissa to advocate for and develop social services in the race.[3] When her hellren attempted to kill his shellan and their daughter with a chainsaw, the Brotherhood killed him[4] and Annalye and Bitty became the first residents of Safe Place.[3]
Annalye was pregnant by her hellren with a boy, but began to miscarry and refused treatment for it. Eventually, she died along with the fetus.
