Black Dagger Legacy is a paranormal urban romance series written in omniscient third person point of view by the author Jessica Bird aka JR Ward. Along with Black Dagger Brotherhood: Prison Camp, Fallen Angels, and Lair of the Wolven, Legacy is a spin-off from the main series Black Dagger Brotherhood. Although the other series are not required reading, Black Dagger Brotherhood must be read in order to fully understand the lore, characters, and storylines of Legacy. Released December 6, 2016, Blood Vow is preceded by The Beast and followed by The Chosen of the main series. It follows the story of Axe and Elise as well as Mary and Rhage's family.

Released January 9, 2018, Blood Fury is preceded by The Chosen and followed by The Thief of the main series. It follows the story of Novo and Peyton as well as Ruhn and Saxton.
Blood Truth[]
Released August 13, 2019, Blood Truth is preceded by The Thief and followed by The Sinner of the main series. It follows the story of Boone and Helaine.

Themes[]
